Good afternoon dear readers,

As you can tell, the overhaul did not happen last weekend. Due to a lack of self-control and poor time management. I got sidetracked and had to throw the plan out the window. However, it is for the best because I didn’t have any new art for the change. Hopefully this weekend I will have a bunch of pretty new things to put on the site. I also want to go into more detail about the changes I will be making to ADR.

Accessibility

I will be switching themes to help make the site accessible for people with disabilities. I have been reading a lot of guidelines and ensuring that the theme I will be switching to will meets these requirements. I will also be ensuring that all images include alt-text, and that the font will be a dyslexia friendly font. There are a lot of things that I have been overlooking and I want to correct them to ensure that everyone feels welcome.

Blog Segments

I will be changing the blog segments during the overhaul. After the changes ADR will have the following segments:

• News
• Interviews
• Recommendations
• Five Audio Dramas for New Listeners
• Reviews
• Podcasting 101

Pages

I will be adding the following pages to ADR:

• Family Friendly Audio Dramas
• Foreign Language Audio Dramas
• Review Policy
• Podcaster Resources

I will be updating the Welcome, About, and Contact pages to provide better and more clear information.

Schedule

That’s right, I will have a schedule. I know I had one before, but it was really hard to follow. So I have been toying with a different schedule that is much more manageable and I think will make everything go nicely. I have also been working on multiple articles so I do not have to try and write one at the last minute. I wasn’t joking when I said I have poor time management skills. However, I am making a calendar to set time aside to work on all these fun articles I want to share with you all.  The new schedule will be posted for everyone to see, and will help me to keep on track.

Artwork

I have commissioned a bunch of artwork. I may have gone a little overboard, but I am happy to announce that you will see new headers and logo for the site. I am excited for this and you should be too.

Future Fun

I will be adding a newsletter that will be related to the Podcaster Resources. It is in the planning stages, but I am excited for it. There will also be a Discord for ADR because that’s what all the cool kids are doing. A Patreon might follow, but that is for future Alex to handle.
